The March 24 webinar will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 PM CT. The topic is "
Behavioral Training in Laboratory Animals: Effects of Patterns of Reinforcement."
The speaker will address standard schedules of reinforcement, that is, how often, how frequently, and when a consequence is provided for a behavior, and these affect how often an animal produces a goal or "anti-goal" behavior.
A reinforcer can be given for:
- Every presentation of the goal behavior (continuous reinforcement)
- Some of the presentations of the goal behavior (partial reinforcement), or
- Withheld for all presentations of the goal behavior (extinction)
